Our Story
This is Our Wellness RISK Management Story.
What was it that we discovered?
In a chiropractic pain relief clinical setting it was noticed that people tend to cycle with various pain
syndromes. When we screen out disease processes and injury processes we are left with a confusing sequence of
recurring pains for no apparent reason. Sometimes weather is blamed. Sometimes a physical strain is blamed.
Sometimes seasonal change is blamed. However, no one blames, wait for it …. food.
What we discovered was that there is a food pain connection. By addressing that connection and changing the
diet, one can achieve what seems to be a miracle. Then the pain cycles back when people drop the diet and we
have to address the Food Pain
Connection again. Then the miracle improvement happens again. And this just keeps repeating.
When examining the abdomen, we can get an idea that something‘s not right because of the tenderness in the
abdomen that should not be there. We review the whole allergy story. We review the whole food reaction story.
And then it dawns on us that a lot of these so-called Musculoskeletal pains, neck aches, back aches, hip pains,
even headaches are often tied to some common foods. Foods that marketing companies claim are good for you.
Foods that medical doctors claim are good for you.
However, when we eliminate certain foods not only do the pain pains improve very quickly, they also stop
cycling. It becomes clear that the weather was not the problem, that the strain was not the problem that lack
of sleep was not the problem. When we now examine the abdomen, we find there is no tenderness. We find the
oesophageal reflex disappears among other bothersome health issues. We find overall Wellness improves.
After studying the science on foods we find some foods can outright cause inflammation, and some foods can
worsen inflammation.
Foods are not the only problem though. Poor blood flow from lack of exercise can make things worse. Poor spinal
health through bad posture can make things worse. Poor rest and relaxation can make things worse. And, a poor
attitude linked to stress can make things worse. Science has shown us many ways of reducing all of those.
Placing that all into a package to measure how well a person is abiding by the science is doable and we did it.
We went a step further providing some important clinical indicators for clinicians. We built a measurement
program to get an idea if food has some direct link to the pain one is having. The ‘proof of the pudding in the
eating’. By following the Wellness science we gain pain relief and improved Wellness. If one has no pain and we
still follow the Wellness Science then we gain improved Wellness.

So, why then doesn’t everybody just follow the science? Well therein is the problem. Some people don’t know the
science and so don’t do the science. Other people know the science, but still don’t do the science.
These are lifestyle issues and are difficult to counter without help from people trained properly. Of course,
it is important to get professional help to rule out sickness, disease, and injuries but people can deal with
food-based pain on their own.
What gets measured, gets managed.
